Hi, all I’m back again to talk about my first-week into.Net as well as my progression in the professional development section of the course.

Well, first thing is first me and 6 other people in my cohort have decided to learn about C#/.Net. This first week went awesome and we also got to learn about the visual studio editor. BTW I really like the VS.code editor much more than I liked Atom. While you could get a lot of cool features with Atom VS.Code came with many of those features already built in along with a much easier to use interface. It has made learning .Net awesome as well with features that help you locate bugs before you ever run the code.

Furthermore, I really enjoy how clean the .Net code can look through building out classes and interfaces. I love how logical the syntax is compared to JavaScript as well it makes building things a little easier. The thing I like most about .Net to this point is how flexible and easy it is to work with. I really liked JavaScript and felt that it give a developer a lot of options in attacking problems but I feel that .Net has just made more sense to me at this point. With that being said I look forward to diving deeper into both languages. At this point, we have yet to explore the front side web stuff but I believe that that is going to be the main challenge this week.

Another fun development from last week is that my portfolio site and resume are almost complete. I built the site from scratch and I’m really happy with how it came out. I will be working to complete it over the next week or so and hopefully have it posted in my next blog post.

During our Friday huddles we had the chance to meet the folks from Clarity Services and learn about what the day to day of a developer is like. Jim James the CTO at Clarity has fostered an awesome environment for the development team and they have built a really deep and intricate application because of it.

Well This was a lot of catching up for one blog post but thanks for reading and I will be back later this week or early next week with my completed portfolio site.
