As the governing body on surfing, the International Surfing Association (ISA) was founded in 1964 and is recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) as the authority for surfing, wakesurfing, bodysurfing, standup paddle racing, and any wave riding activity on all water conditions using wave riding equipment. The sport of surfing has gained much momentum as of late, especially following the recent announcement by the IOC of surfing’s inclusion in the upcoming 2020 Tokyo summer Olympics.

As a result of the increased global attention, the ISA appointed Broadreach Media of Switzerland for the exclusive distribution of media rights in Asia (excluding Japan), the Pacific, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. ISA’s media distribution package granted Broadreach Media exclusive broadcasting rights to the upcoming World Championships including the World Surfing Games, Paddleboard Championship, Junior Surfing Championship, Adaptive Surfing Championship, Bodyboard Championship, Master Surfing Championship, and Longboard Championship. The partnership between ISA and Broadreach Media will help expand the sport of surfing to all corners of the world.
