Pelham’s Highway

Sitting by the highway when roads was gravel
Watching the cars as the people travel

Little cars, big one, trucks and buses
Driving right by, the traffic continually rushes

What’s their destination I wanted to know?
Where do these roads take you, how far do they go?

Intrigued at where their journey will end
I can’t wait until my traveling begins

Following that desire it took me afar
Exploring many areas by plane, bus and car

To Texas, Ohio and Kentucky venturing out
Seattle Washington is next without a doubt

Traveling is my passion I say, a magnificent thrill
To a little girl sitting by Pelham’s highway, on a hill
