Vernon Brewer

1. He is the first graduate of Liberty University.

2. He served as faculty at Liberty University as dean of students and vice president of student development before started World Help.

3. He is President and CEO of the World Help charity, which he started in 1991.

4. His charities goal is to improve the physical and spiritual needs of impoverished communities.

5. He is hired to speak at schools, conventions, and churches to raise awareness for the physical and spiritual problems of the world and how his organization is helping.

6. His desire for charity events began when he went on his first mission trip to Mexico, at age 17.

7. Since World Help has been running, the organization has helped people in 64 countries and over 44,000 sponsorships have been given out to people in need.

8. He and his organization have given out over 9 million Bibles, planted over 74,000 churches and helps feed over 300,000 children daily.

9. He battled Hodgkin’s disease. He underwent 18 surgeries and 18 months of chemotherapy.

10. He survived his cancer treatment. The victory brought more motivation to help others in need.

11. His organization scores a 90.21 out of 100 on the charity navigator website. The website helps people understand who and what they are donating their money to.

12. His organization scores a 100 out of 100 on transparency and accountability, ensuring that they are open about their efforts and act on what they promise.

13. His organization scores a 86.27 out of 100 on the financial scoring.

14. He is active on top social media: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

15. He has written multiple books. His most recent being “Hope for Iraq.”
