Established at the outset of the 20th century, Indian Motorcycles was America’s first bike manufacturer. With the original company folding in 1977, Polaris Industries revived the Indian Motorcycles brand in 2013. The Minnesota-based firm strategically expanded their bike lineup over the next four years to encompass five core models and 17 distinct options, from the Roadmaster Elite to the Indian Chief Dark Horse.

In 2016, the Indian Springfield was introduced, with its name hearkening back to the Illinois city where the company was first established. The American-made bike was unveiled at Daytona Beach’s North Turn Restaurant. It was in this location that the classic Daytona 200 race took shape among early racing enthusiasts. Currently focused on the cruiser and touring market, Indian has a long-term focus on extending to urban markets.
