Second Thoughts About “Second Thoughts About Universal Basic Income”

Well thought-out article. But unfortunately I don’t think logical arguments are enough in this country. The real ideological battle about these sorts of things is waged by politicians and corporate interests who fund ad campaigns against measures like this or when that fails, buy congressional influence to get any legislation proposing such measures neutered with revisions if they let it pass at all and then declare the ideas themselves useless after the fact through the media despite being the ones who made them useless with their obstructionism in the first place.

Common sense and logical reasoning only go so far in America.
