Why Jack is wrong about Primo & Epico

Primo and Epico have been saddled with the Shining Stars gimmick, which as much as it causes me silly laughter, is far too limited and one dimensional to go anywhere. It appears that WWE have realized this, and remembered that P & E are actually quite solid workers who basically need to be treated as respectable competitors, not wearing masks and hawking timeshares.

For some reason, Jack seems oblivious to what we are seeing here as American Alpha get interfered with, jumped, and set forward towards a new program. Smackdown Live is where good talents with bad storylines can go to refresh, simply wrestle, and get out from a gimmick that acts as an anchor. This is ideal for P & E now.

Any notion that American Alpha have “momentum” to “kill” as Jack suggested means he is seeing a product that isn’t there because he badly wants it to be. I certainly also recognize the outstanding talent that AA represents, but they do not have momentum. They have three second appearances in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.

A good, simple, wrestling program, designed to show the great moves and new, normal elevated posture of the real people that are Primo & Epico, in great matches against American Alpha — not a hard thing to picture at all, really — could instantly restore the Puerto Rican duos shine, ironically, by dropping the moniker. American Alpha have something other than undervalued belts to fight over, but an actual grudge — and a grudge against another team that has the ability to wrestle ahead of promo skills.

Sounds like everyone is being used to their maximum, getting the right sort of rub and simple, no frills storylines to help two teams get back to what brought them to the show in the first place: Above average wrestling ability and great matches as a result.

TL/DR? This feud could do for both teams exactly what they need and have not been getting from their bookings for the last six months. Jack is stuck seeing good wrestlers as the bad booking that has hindered them, and as such demonstrates a weakness that explains his petit bourgeois outlook on life.
