Disassembling/deconstruction is not the same as destruction. Although Boyd uses the term “destruction”, and considers it a means of achieving creativity, it is actually disassembly/deconstruction that he speaks about.
The above example does not destroy either the boat & skis, the tank, or the bicycle. Rather it disassembles them. Destruction would mean that the original items could not be reconstituted. It might also mean that the constituent parts would be unusable for the creation of the snowmobile.
