While the attempts of Dior and Minkoff are clearly a “swing and a miss” I do appreciate the attempt. The whole “looks stupid” is a huge issue that I feel has more to do with people not being used to seeing VR HMDs in their day to day than anything else. (children making fun of other children wearing glasses, while adults don’t see them or think of them as a fashion accessory comes to mind) The site http://www.gearboggles.com/ has a collection of stickers for the GearVR. While not exactly “High fashion” does make the look a lot more fun and is a step in the right direction.
