I interview onsite at Netflix the other day and they told me up front that the interview would proceed past a certain time if they didn’t feel I wouldn’t raise the bar for the team.
And that is exactly what happened. The hiring manager told me and sat and talked with me for another half hour while I finished the lunch they provided. He gave me specific feedback, but we also discussed other unrelated topics.
By the way, they gave me food THREE separate times. And they gave me a printed schedule for everything.
All and all, a decent way to operate that leaves you feeling very positive about the company, even if you’re not trilled with the result.
