Trading time for money is a classic mistake. I would open up that too many people define “being rich” as successful. Like you, I define my success in life by how much of my time I’m actually in control of and how much of it I spend going what I enjoy.
Besides I personally think big shots at Silicon Valley have a heightened sense of self worth because they ignore how much luck played a part in their success.
I don’t mean to say people are only successful because of luck, but successful people more often than not were in the right place at the right time.
