Understanding the Manipura Chakra, the center of vitality, also called as the Navel Chakra — Rocky C, Tantra Practitioner

Let us try to understand the Manipura Chakra — Solar Plexus.

It is the center of vitality.

It is located in the navel region and covers all the organs of the digestive system thus when activated it energies the digestive system.

It is also called naabhi chakra where naabhi means the navel. The navel center is termed as the seat of will for a meditator.
Thus, the meditator has to empower a lifestyle with the right food, right work, and right sleep to empower his navel chakra.

There is a beautiful text in Sanskrit on this chakra that reads “ Naabhi chakre Kaayvyuh Gyaanam” which simply means that the navel ( naabhi) chakra is the center to tap for infinite intelligence (Kaayvyuh Gyaanam).

The Manipuraka chakra is the seat of the element of fire (Agni)
The principal air (Vayu) which activates the Manipuraka chakra is Samana.

Solar Plexus or Manipura is your energy center that radiates vital prana, which is the total sum of energy that manifests in this universe, through your whole body.

An essential part of the body’s nervous system, the solar plexus plays a large role in keeping our organs functioning smoothly and preparing the body to respond to stress by making changes in metabolism.

Individuals with empowered Manipura chakra are doers in life.
They don’t wait for things to happen. They make efforts to make things happen.
They are empowered with leadership skills.
They lead by example and walk the talk instead.
When employers say that they are looking for individuals with fire in their bellies, what they simply mean is that they are looking for individuals with empowered solar plexus.

The solar plexus on the physical level is responsible for your digestive tract thus its underworking leads to weight gain and its overworking leads to weight loss.
On the mental and emotional level, it works as our security system. Ideally, the security system would not allow any trespassers inside.
It’s only when it is weak, do trespassers get in.

Similarly, when our solar plexus becomes weak, any thought or emotion takes over. It’s only now that you easily become a victim of anxiety or depression, where any thought or emotion takes you over and creates havoc. Thus, if the solar plexus is set right, it would always keep you focused and alert.

Manipuraka chakra (fire) is like the starter of a car. It helps to jump-start the engine effortlessly. Thus, individuals with awakened solar plexus are very sensitive to touch, smell, taste, and all other sense organs.

Manipuraka chakra is responsible for the money flow in one’s life. Since its element is fire, its overworking leads to burnout i.e., expense exceeding the income whereas its underworking leads to blunt income sources.
Its optimum working leads to the continual flow of money in one’s life.

On a lighter note, Manipura = Mani (money) and Pura (enough).

Improper working of the Solar plexus would lead to asthma, arthritis, piles, weakness of bones, difficulty in making decisions, low self-esteem, anger issues, easily pressing the panic button, financial instability, erectile dysfunction, insensitive to touch, smell, and taste, weight gain, anxiety, and depression.

When it is activated, the practitioner obtains calmness even in adverse circumstances.
Empowers great leadership qualities inspiring others around with his/her calm decision-making skills, mental clarity, and self-confidence.
Sensitive to everything happening around him/her.
Optimum digestive system empowering peak physical health.
