Thanks Sarah, I have to agree. Save those for puffing up ones’ LinkedIn. Too much of that could kill Medium but it’s a “somewhat free world” so how do we approach the problem without censorship?

I do have a suggestion for Medium. The tagging system already partially self-populates based on ones text. Use of a special tag that can detect text with over a certain percentage of lists, bullets, very short paragraphs of similar length. Make the tag an opt-out situation. People can unfollow those. If a person thinks their text has been tagged unfairly then they can appeal for the tags removal.

Regardless, I wholeheartedly agree with you and feel your frustration.
