Breaking & Ejecting

Breaking up is never easy. It can be amicable. It can be quick. But it can never be easy.

It shouldn’t be. If it was easy to break off a piece of your heart, you wouldn’t have much left of it by the time you were old enough to know when to give some away.

I gave some away. I gave some away and then almost immediately they gave me away.

It hurts. But you should never be more in love with your partner than they are with you; successful relationships are built on mutual affection and devotion.

It ain’t easy, but it’s the only way. The only way to finding the person who deserves you is to let go of the beautiful souls who end up being helping hands in our journey towards true, unconditional love.

And if it didn’t hurt, it wouldn’t help etch the lessons to be learned deep into the very heart given away. If it didn’t hurt, the heart would be silent and passive. And our humanity would fade away.
