my watch —silver metal strap, blue case — stopped.

I noticed it two days ago, the time: 18:40:08. 24th of July.

I’ve still worn it out. Out of habit.

I still find myself looking at it. Out of habit.

Dead, motionless, out of sync.

I’m sorry I haven’t given you your life back.
