Having spent more than 15 years in online journalism I couldn’t agree more with Filloux’ analysis. What too many fellow journalist still underestimate today is that their readers are no longer consumers but publishers of news at the same time. It’s the „people formerly known as the audience“. Their theatre is social media. It’s ours now, too. Whether we like it or not.
