Roleplaying Chat

The chat rooms are where you can go to have your characters interact with others in real time, with no delay, and no refresh necessary. Because of this the roleplaying can get very quick, and challenging, especially when there are multiple people in a single room.

RolePages has a couple of different chat systems that we use.

Multiverse Role Playing Chat Rooms: This is a dynamic multiple room role playing chat system. Based on software which is independent from the rest of the site, you can log into Multiverse as a guest while waiting for your profile to be approved, and the chat will still work even if the rest of the site has a temporary error. At the same time the multiple rooms can act as multiple locations giving you lots of options for role playing.

The Blue Moon Tavern: The main room in the Multiverse Chat System, this is generally the first place you are taken when you log on. Because of this, the Tavern tends to be a focal point for the site, and often acts as a kind of main stage for live interactive storytelling events.

The Blue Moon is where most of the characters involved in the Main Story Arc spend the majority of their time on the site. The Tavern is also where most of the public Events take place, and where the DM’s tend to focus their efforts of shaping and sculpting the narrative of the community.

Setting: An establishment run by a man named Harry, and staffed by strange imps. The Tavern is located in the city of Consequence, which is the capital of the magical planet Hellifyno. Free food and drink is served to whoever stops by, and more often than not the patrons are a strange group of powerful warriors known as the “Heroes”

Ning Chat This is a system that has a single chat room, but the room is quick, dynamic, and fully integrated into the network. If you are not a member you won’t be able to see it, but once you are you will be able to see avatar pictures, links to character profiles, and will have the ability to privately message other characters, all at your fingertips.

However, the fact that it is a single room chat means that it often gets very crowded in there. The scroll can often be quite quick, and it may take very swift fingers if you want to keep up.
