It would be horrible if the NBA adapted the same transfer model as European football/soccer. The salary cap and draft system is of course flawed, but as someone who grew up with the Bundesliga this system is awesome. The NBA may have a similar scenario for the next years as the Bundesliga with Bayern winning every year, or the Serie A with Juve winning every year, but through free agency and especially the draft there is at least hope that at some point your team can contend for the title (except for the Kings, Knicks and Nets of course). Golden State may dominate for the next five years, but you still know their dynasty will inevitably crumble at some point. (Btw, I think it’s quite amusing that of all countries the US has such a socialist model in sports — of course only when millionaires and billionaires are among themselves.)
