The “pipeline” issue is the main one to focus on (IMHO). Everything else falls into place from there. Role models are there and aspiration kicks in; pay data becomes normal (until it’s a non issue); mentoring becomes authentic rather than a band aid to deal with the actual issue.

This is a great piece. You seem to have grasped the heart of the issue and highlighted some practical steps businesses can take. There is a lot of “noise” about this issue and you’ve managed to speak frankly without casting any of the players as victims.
