A Summer Of Service
For Team Mitt, this summer was about giving back to our community. We set out to find new and creative ways to get our massive volunteer force involved in beautifying our neighborhoods and connecting with those around us.
From food drives to blood drives, and community gardening to 5k races, Team Mitt enjoyed getting our hands dirty and joining fellow Utahns to serve our state and communities.

In Big Cottonwood Canyon, the invasive thistles were no match for Team Mitt. Locals and tourists alike enjoy our campgrounds and when the grounds are maintained, everyone benefits.
In our own backyard, at the Orem Community Church garden, vines were tied and weeds were pulled to help prepare food for harvest. Last year, the Garden donated more than 2,500 pounds of produce to the community. We are excited to see how this year’s numbers stack up!

For our final summer projects, we poured blood and sweat into important causes. First, we hosted a blood drive with the American Red Cross, then we ran the 6th Annual Fallen Officers Memorial Run to honor the lives of those heroes who sacrifice so much to keep us safe.
