Here’s to 100 more years of America’s National Parks!
RNR Act helps everyone #GetOutdoors for the next 100 years
For 100 years, the National Park System has helped Americans #GetOutdoors.
I’m recognizing this milestone by working to make it easier for everyone to #GetOutdoors for the next 100 years.
This year, I introduced the Recreation Not Red-Tape (RNR) Act to clear the way for even more Americans to find their favorite outdoor places and to lift our country’s outdoor recreation economy to new heights.

When Americans visit our country’s special outdoor places, they benefit from witnessing first-hand the depth of beauty the United States has to offer. And our economy benefits, too.
Outdoor recreation contributes significantly to America’s economy (around $646 billion a year) and supports more than 6 million red-white-and-blue jobs in every corner of our country.
My RNR Act opens access to public lands by streamlining the permitting process for outfitters and guides, reducing the paperwork and letting them focus on introducing visitors to our outdoor treasures.
The legislation builds on outdoor recreation as an economic driver by studying the industry’s true benefits for our communities and for businesses large and small throughout urban and rural America.
The RNR Act also makes it easier to repair and manage our recreational public lands for future generations of visitors by prioritizing trails projects. And it also encourages partnerships between agencies and private-sector volunteers to get more work done on our public lands.
So #GetOutdoors! Visit your favorite park. Get outfitted at the local gear shop. And give the outdoor experts a chance to guide you to your new favorite outdoor places.
Let’s celebrate the next 100 years by opening access to the outdoors for everyone. Because when Americans discover the outdoors, they win, and businesses and communities large and small win, too.
