As past-President of the Southern Baptist Convention and Senior Pastor of Cross Church, Dr. Ronnie Floyd has made it his life’s mission to prepare ministry leaders and advance the gospel across the globe. In pursuit of his commitment to evangelism, Dr. Floyd established the Cross Church School of Ministry.

The Cross Church School of Ministry complements theological education through a one-year residential ministry program. Similar to how medical doctors undergo clinical residency training, the Cross Church School of Ministry believes that ministry students should also experience field training. Students anywhere in between post-high school and collegiate education, through post-seminary training, may enter the School of Ministry to gain first-hand insight into a ministry career.

Throughout the program, students are personally mentored by a Cross Church minister. In addition, they take one international and two national mission trips, and receive direct exposure to the mission of Cross Church.

Program costs cover all aforementioned activities and housing, tuition, and ministry tracking. Cross Church highly encourages students to raise funds through sponsorships and donations from people who support their calling and mission.
