Morally Right?

Is being morally right subjective in the same way design is subjective?

I personally don’t think either is subjective. When you get design right you just know, and everyone agrees its right. The same applies for morals, when you something is morally right it is very difficult to dispute.

A couple of things that I believe are morally wrong include:

  • Taking a cut from a donation to a charity
  • Holding the money donated before passing it to the charity
  • Placing limits depending on how much a charity can afford, thus stunting its potential growth
  • Providing a service that places a risk where the donation may never reach the charity

All of these I believe are morally wrong, and I feel it would be difficult to dispute otherwise.

Well, what if I told you that every single fundraising platform in the UK does some or all of the above? Yet people still use those platforms! There is only one platform that does none of these things - Total Giving.

Total Giving is the morally right choice…

Total Giving eliminates the middleman, takes no cut, charges no fees, has no limits and handles no money, all donated money goes directly from the donor to the charity.

Surely, in a morally right society all platforms should be like that? There are now over 10,000 UK charities using Total Giving, this is 2,000 more than the market leader JustGiving. Its time for change, people are voting with their feet to eliminate this multimillion pound industry profiting from charitable donations.
