That honour belongs to American martial arts instructor Dan Inosanto.

In the 2012 documentary I Am Bruce Lee, Inosanto explained that he showed Lee the basics of using nunchucks when Lee was his student in the 1960s.

And the rest was history… Lee inspired the world with his energetic skill and razor-sharp speed, lighting up Hollywood movie screens in the 1970s.
