Great piece, Kammie. I don’t know my “number” either, because I made a conscious decision not to count. Every guy (and girl) I’ve slept with has been a person, an individual, someone I chose in that moment. And to reduce them to just a number on a list seems a little insulting to them! So in my world there are only three acceptable answers to the question, “How many people have you slept with?”

The first is, “I honestly don’t know.”

The second is, “Why does it matter to you?”

And the third is, “Mind your own business.” :-)
