Hearing about yet another terrorist attack in London earlier this year was unnerving. For a few moments I imagined how it would feel to lose a loved one to such an atrocity.

Some of us (myself included) don’t spend much time thinking about events of this sort because we’re fortunate enough that they don’t affect us directly. But sometimes there comes a point where you stop to face the harsh reality of such happenings, as Susan Piver does here.
