There is no “technology industry”

All industries are now should consider themselves technology industries(imho) even if the core of the business isn’t something immediately related to tech , they would do well to leverage various technologies if they want to survive and thrive.

Even , for example, a family owned artisanal cheese making operation could benefit from well leveraged software tools and hardware automation and monitoring . Technology might help optimize how the operations are supplied, tracking how the cheese is progressing with IoT monitoring of temperatures and firmness , delivering the products to their customers, raising awareness of the product and so on.

Not being a cheese maker, some of these ideas might not make sense for an expert in the field but without getting too caught up in the details certainly any number of technological refinements could be made to any process no matter how rooted in tradition it might be.
