What is Emotional Weight?

Learn how the weight of words might be keeping you feeling heavy, even if you are physically trim.


I’m a fitness instructor and I’ve seen so many people’s bodies evolve, transform, change and over time, even though I’ve seen a lot of people trim up and get the body they want, they still feel heavy to me or they complain about feeling heavy. And I’ve associated that to emotional weight.

Emotional weight is something you can put on whether you’re physically skinny, or physically overweight. It’s the weight of the words, the sayings, the thoughts the actions and experiences you have in your life that you carry on you just as much as you carry physical weight.

We have both physical and emotional weight and both of those things can bring us down and lift us up.
