We all have slightly different perceptions, perspectives, and biologies. Pinpointing a true cause has been difficult because we are all slightly varied. That’s why empathizing with another’s perspective is often difficult.

Now add millions of slightly varied people who are doing their best to figure out what’s causing cognitive, mood, and behavioral difficulties with some folks and not others.

In my opinion, a world without compassion and assistance in various forms would cause several problems. Number one, if nobody needed anything then we could pretty much kiss all the service industry jobs goodbye and this country would shrivel up like a dried out prune left in the sun. Number two, I’m fairly certain we wouldn’t want to live in a world without servitude. We would rip each other to shreds and then some. Not kidding.

And yes, I consider psychiatry a service. Quite frankly, without Behavioral Health assistance, some folks wouldn’t be functioning at all. Behavioral Health and psychiatric services offer bridges of hope through allowing folks to grow and develop at their own pace.

These services provide bubbles of shelter and love until the world begins to make a little more sense because to some folks, it makes zero sense. Not because they don’t want it to make sense. It just simply doesn’t.
