Ryan Chiddister Is Currently Serving as FACS and PE Teacher at Union School Corporation
Ryan Chiddister is a multifaceted professional having more than a decade of experience as a Junior High Health and Physical Education Teacher in the Centerville-Abington School Corporation. As a Physical Education Teacher, he effectively promoted fitness and health throughout the school. He believes that physical education is not only a learning experience; but is also a health experience. He made sure that all the students in the class were engaged in physical activities and remained active throughout the curriculum.
After that, he joined Union School Corporation as a FACS (Family & Consumer Science) and Physical Education Teacher. During his said tenure, he got the opportunity to teach the following -
- Advanced foods
- Child development
- Junior high FACS
- Interpersonal relationships
- Elementary P.E
- College and career readiness
He is fully licensed to teach all Grade Special Education, Physical/ or Health Education. Ryan Chiddister’s teaching experiences has afforded him the opportunity to lay emphasis on:
- Organizational skills & discipline within the classroom setting.
- Modifying teaching methods in order to meet needs of individuals with diverse learning styles.
- Preparing assessment material to evaluate student’s progress and performance.
- Incorporating both innovative and traditional teaching methods.
In addition to this, Ryan Chiddister is also a highly skilled coach. He holds a collective record of 178 wins & 92 losses as a Head Varsity Basketball Coach, and has various accomplishments to his credit. In 2004, his team won the Regional Championship and participated in the Indiana 2A Final Four. From 2004 to 2006, he won 3 consecutive conference & 3 more sectional championships from 2009 to 2011.
Talking about his education, he has a Bachelors of Science degree in Education with an emphasis in Physical Education/Health Education/Special Education from the Indiana University Bloomington. He received his Masters from Indiana University East. He is currently enrolled in a Principal Certification program at Lamar University. Apart from this, he holds the certification to teach all grade PE, health, and special education. He was also chosen as the Most Outstanding Graduate Student in Education for the academic year 2016–2017.
