This is probably a relic of the past still embedded in our society today. The only times you can likely measure in, well time, is physical labor.

If you chop wood for 5 hours, thinking about it on your bike ride in probably didn’t change much.

But then again, I completely agree with you and am just looking for a hole here. There’s that whole thing about visualizing what you’re about to do to achieve greater outcomes — athletes practice this one regularly — and I guess that’s also the point you’re making :)
