On the 8th of June, 1892, Robert Ford was working behind the bar of his tent saloon. He had purchased a saloon in the town of Creede, Colorado, just nine days earlier. Just six days after obtaining his new property, a great fire had raged through most of Creede’s business district, damaging his building among many others. Ford opened up a temporary tent saloon, while his original building was being fixed up.

On that warm day in June, Robert must have been hoping that his worse days were behind him. He had survived his life as an outlaw and had managed to kill one of the most famous criminals of his generation, Jesse James. After this, he had spent time preforming the reenactment of his assassination of the nation's most notorious outlaw, alongside his brother, who had since passed away. Now a somewhat respected business man and bar owner, Robert Ford had seemingly left his life of crime far behind and now hopefully life would continue to slowly improve.

As Ford had his back to the entrance of his tent saloon, a man walked inside and stepped towards the bar. “Hello, Bob.” The man called out to Robert Ford, who slowly turned around to see who was speaking to him. The man lifted up…
