War of the worlds

The broadcast of War of the World, had me really intrigued. I could really visualize and connect to the main character’s feelings and views. There were a couple cliches that caught my eye. One was the extraterrestrial object the landed on Earth, of course landed on a farm. I noted that It was a cliche because I wasn't surprised when the broadcast narrated this. Another thing in this broadcast that I noted was the fact that the last two survivors were men. I think this symbolizes that man was first put on Earth and so most likely man would be the last as well. I found this really sexist, because if man was the last to survive how would he reproduce without a women? This really stumped me that two men were the last survivors why not a woman and Man? I thought this broad cast was fun and interesting but a little twisted on who the last survivors on this Earth would be.
