Look out world and make way for Cellfie! Grace Ling has successfully created worlds in which you can turn yourself into an cell of your choice, and learn all about living organisms while fighting crime and taking names.

After testing out her game in the SCU Library and Imaginarium, Grace is putting on the finishing touches of Cellfie and is ready to take on the competition at the Imagine That! showdown. Grace has had a blast working on the game and has been a machine in the Imaginarium. She has been working on the game for hours at a time, designing and editing it to perfection. The game includes a brief tutorial that teaches the user how to play the game, different characters to choose from, fun side games and stores, and different levels and worlds that you can play in.

It’s been a long year for Grace, first starting with the boot camp and learning virtual reality, then storyboarding her concept, to finally putting all her work onto the screen. While she’s still tacking on some last minute touches, she feels confident in her project and is proud of the work she has accomplished.

Eventually, she hopes to create a 2D version as well, and really help get people access to the game so that they may better their knowledge in biology. Detail by detail, she is adding to and enhancing her game, and is an intellectual force to be reckoned with during this competition. Grace is “excited to see everyone’s final projects” and cannot wait for the competition.

For all you biology majors out there struggling with finals, stop by the Imaginarium and give Cellfie a try! As for everyone else, don’t miss Grace and Cellfie at the Imagine That! Competition on Friday, June 8th.
