The Public Relations professionals who enter the profession come with a certain set of skills that work for some time but soon need to be upgraded. And we all know that the reason for this need of upgradation is that our profession is evolving very fast! As a school that is dedicated to the development of education and research in strategic communications and reputation management, SCoRe aims to upskill the current communications strategists as well. We hope that we are constantly able to fill the gaps that are present in the current workforce. Hence we have introduced short-term part-time programmes that are tailored for communications professionals.
Our ‘Continuing Education’ set constitutes the ACE series which are our certificate programmes of short duration. These are designed for communications professionals looking to add specialised capabilities.
The programmes will focus on skills like ‘writing’ which are the backbone of our profession. Almost every communications expert will agree that currently there are only a very few writers in the profession who we are ‘excellent’. Our programme ‘ACE Writing’ hopes to make all or most PR professionals excellent writers. Our other programmes will focus on acquiring skills like political communications, digital marketing, data analytics, employee engagement among others. Today, it is essential for a PR professional to know the basics of digital engagement. Similarly other skills like political communications will also be in great demand.
Upskilling is not a choice but ‘a must’ for the Public Relations professionals today. The ‘continuing education’ programmes at SCoRe will not only upskill the talent of these professionals but will also aim to instill our core values which are:
S- Street-smart (for a tough world)
C- Courageous (for a rough ride)
O- Outstanding (in everything they do)
R- Restless (for excellence)
E- Ethical (no matter what).
