Dating would be nice, but I always get the feeling like the men these days aren’t patient enough to date. They want to know right away (or at least reasonably quickly) if you’re going to sleep with them or not. They hang around for a bit, then disappear without a trace. Disappearing fast even are the days when you can just be friends with a man and not have sex. Time and again, my male friends suddenly stop returning my calls when they find a good match. And I think, ‘what am I? chopped liver?’ And here I am, all this time, envisioning for them a time that they would find their perfect mate, because I love them and want them to be happy. And when they find their lady, I am abruptly out of the picture. Someone tell me please, why is this so common? Why am I always a sexual target? Why are men that are capable of appreciating a woman for her qualities as a person (her intelligence, sense of humor, kindness, loyalty) so rare?
