Should eBikes be ticketed like they are Cars?

Even though it cost me the same amount of money and more time to fight 2 red light tickets in Oakland totaling $1000, I knew it was worth it because it COSTS the City to deal with this. 2 months after I got these two tickets, the Red Light Cameras contract was cancelled in Oakland and they ceased functioning. Fighting it is an effective form of protest. Once SF realises that it is costing them MORE money to ticket cyclists than they’re getting, they’ll let up a little. It’s extremely important that cyclists FIGHT the tickets to the bitter end. Make them spend more money than they make. I dare say it works (and you writing about it also helps :)
