Ad Blocking and the Future of the Web

I highly doubt that ad blocking will bring on the death of the internet. In fact ‘highly doubt’ is really not strong enough; the notion is patently absurd, somehow suggesting that we NEED profiteers in order to enjoy quality content and information, despite the fact that they were few and far between in the early days, when the internet was more dominated by creative spirits. Mr. Zeldman, being the owner of an online ad agency himself, is hardly an objective voice on the issue. I will look forward to the online ‘earthquake’ as power shifts about once again…
