Well, it sounds like you are finding your human side, but in fact I am not yet at that high point of entrepreneurship and have discovered that any honest expression of vulnerability might elicit a minority of warm responses but loses far more people than it attracts. In fact it appears that humanity and capitalistic success are maybe not compatible. So I think it’s great that you’re having this experience, but if you had not been CEO of a start-up once that DID grow to have 400 employees, people would treat you differently now as you express that vulnerable side (not everyone of course, everyone has real friends too, but most).
Basically I’m just saying that I don’t think vulnerability and capitalism go together at all (based on my experience). People don’t care how you feel or what you know; they just want to know how much it costs.
