Yes good advice but if you’re going to send them to art school, make sure they take a few business classes too (aka humility classes). I ran an art gallery for awhile, until I realized that prima donnas have the worst business sense and the lowest ability to appreciate what others contribute. Ironically, the artists that were most proactive in marketing and most appreciative of what I was offering also made the most money and had the best turnouts. AND everybody was happy and the gallery rent got paid. Prima donnas (some of whom couldn’t even bring themselves to price their ‘priceless’ art) starved the gallery and eventually it had to close.
