Kaia DeMatteo, a PhD student at SGISD, has co-written a chapter in the new Praeger International Handbook of Special Education. DeMatteo co-authored the chapter with Associate Professor Angi Stone-MacDonald from UMass Boston’s College of Education and Human Development. Professor Stone-MacDonald is DeMatteo’s dissertation committee chair, and was the first author on the chapter.

“I’m pleased to be part of this new volume and contribute to inclusive education,” said DeMatteo. “The book provides an overview of special education services around the world, and we wrote the chapter about the Republic of Tanzania.”
