While I agree that the über-rich has incredible influence on policy, I think that you are missing the larger problem. Politicians are afraid to stray from establishment lines because they fear they would lose their seat, or get sabotaged by the establishment. The fear causes a gridlock, which can only get fixed if someone, like Bernie Sanders, takes a leap.
