We’re asking you to sign SIPTU’s Childcare petition at BigStart.ie/petition

Quality Early Years costs, and in Ireland it is mostly parents who are paying.

An average family with two kids way pay 40% of it income on childcare. The OECD average is 12%.

This is why the new More Affordable Childcare Scheme is welcome for parents.

But we know that affordability is only one of the challenges facing our sector.

If we want high quality Early Years for our children, we need better pay for educators and managers. We also need to make sure that services are sustainable.

This is why SIPTU is calling for increased investment in our pre-budget submission.

You can take action to support our campaign now.

We’re only 150 signatures away from reaching 10,000 in our “Petition for Quality Early Years.”

Help us get to that number by asking a colleague or friend to sign it at BigStart.ie/petition
