I thought this was a really well thought out and interesting piece. I don’t look that often at the other versions of websites in different languages (I am always afraid I won’t be able to switch it back to English. Although when I went to Japan, my computer automatically switched to Japanese and that was terrifying for a few moments until I switched it back) although now I think I should more often. I liked that you brought up how the websites are designed changes depending on the culture and how they read information. The Japanese websites reminded me of ad design and how often a lot of ads will try to cram as much information into ads as possible since they know you won’t look at them very long.
