Well first of all I’am not the fan of beats headphones. In fact quite the opposite. But what have been written here is a complete nonsense. You can spend months in R&D as well as shitload of money for it in order to make the drivers in headphones sound good. Then multiply that by at least 10 for all the other essential expenses like designing, promoting, accessories (packaging)... Of course after all this is done and when you have exact specifications and instructions as to how to manufacture everything, the production cost per unit won’t be high, but that’s ENTIRELY not the point. Then some random sketchy company makes a counterfeit by using almost same exact external materials but totally random drivers they could find from their neighbor supplier. THEN some idiot buys the 2 pairs as starts comparing what’s the difference in cost for producing 2 different types of metal, plastic or driver… I’am not saying that I personally like the way Beats headphones sound in general, but if A headphones sounds much better than headphones B, I don’t care how much or little the production cost difference is between them… Only thing I’am interested is how good it is ( in this case how good it SOUNDS) in relation to it’s price (as long as it’s not total crap like most of these counterfeits, otherwise it’s pointless to pay anything for something that you won’t ever use).
