Hi Alan Cooper
I loved this post.
This post reminded me of a software project that we (our team in www.alcyon.co.in) did long back (in FY 2007) for EagleBurgmann.
When we won the project, customer insisted on us that scope document is ready. So we informed the customer to give us a scope document.
When our technical lead (Mr. Sethil Kumaran. He is doing Ph.D. right now in US) read the scope document? He informed me and said “Mr. Phadke. Scope document is wrong”.
I asked him are you sure about it?
He said and I quote “Absolutely. Within 1 minute I can prove it” and he did that to me first and then to customer.
Post to the meeting with customer, we created history for all of us (all team members) since we developed one of the most enchanting & inspirational software solution and we inspired customer (every user in EagleBurgmann) forever.
So much so, we developed the similar project for India operation, for Japan operation and for German operation.
The fault that was identified by Mr. Senthil was related to Edges only. I can not forget those golden days and golden memories.
I am resharing your post again on LinkedIn and on Google Plus village where I am connected with more than 6000+ users across the globe.
Best regards,
SMNP
