Make Halo Great Again…

Halo: The Master Chief Collection

Everyone remembers when Halo: Master Chief Collection was announced.

2014’s E3 was an exciting time for Halo fans. We were getting a Halo 5 Beta as well as a some of the most iconic games in the Halo franchise all in one package.

Not only were we getting 4 games for the price of one, but we were going to get to watch Master Chief and Cortana run 1080p at 60FPS for the very first time. Not to mention the hundreds of hours we’d lose in multiplayer after beating the campaigns.

Us Halo fanatics went wild! Then… came launch day. Plagued by a plethora of issues, 343 could never really fix the mess that was made of MCC.

It’s been almost 2 years since the release of MCC. There has been a slight change for the better, but there’s still much to be desired.

What happened to 343? Where did they go? Halo was the franchise that really took any kind of FPS to the next level.

Some of the best memories I had were staying up until odd hours of the night trying to figure out how to beat “The Library” on Legendary in Combat Evolved, or how addicted I was to the multiplayer playlists in Halo 2. The list can go on and one, but 343 just couldn’t handle a project so grandiose.

Many fans think 343 just swept MCC under the rug, left to rot and hoping that it’ll be forgotten, others think 343 jumped ship to focus on Halo 5. Whatever the case is, we need MCC. We need 343 to come back. Fix the issues that the community has asked for, and to make Halo great again.

What do you think about MCC? Are you a fan? Do you play it? How do you feel about the issues associated with it?

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
