Supdate 4: Announcing A New Hero
This week — the STRATZ brand is official, and we welcome an awesome new member to our team 🎉
From the dawn of time, STRATZ has been awaiting our first registered trademark. Okay, maybe it’s only been several months, but it feels like a long time. And it’s been worth it. With major updates just around the corner, it’s only fitting that the STRATZ logo is prepared to represent us as our team and products move forward.
In other news, our team is super excited to announce our newest member. Kailah “Keo” Onsager, gamer extraordinaire and DOTA 2 aficionado, has joined STRATZ as the latest addition to our backend team! Her esport and workplace experience has already begun to make her standout as a tremendous asset, and we can’t wait to share what she and Ken have in the works. In the meantime, I’d like to introduce you all to a few fun facts about Kailah.
By the age of 5, Kailah’s father knew that her battle spirit was prepared to begin dominating the esports community. So like any reasonable father would do, he introduced her to Doom. But just like all budding online gamers, Kailah required a username. Kailah wasn’t sure what her new name should be, so her father proposed that she just use her initials — K.E.O. So on that day a gamer was born, and her name is Keo.
It wasn’t long before Keo sought out new stomping grounds to demo her gaming savvy. Games like Quake 3 Arena, Halo, Team Fortress 2 (before the 👒s), and Portal are just some of her all-time favs. But it was only a matter of time before she would happen upon something truly special: DOTA 2.
Building off of her extensive esport experience, while at the same time putting her captivating persona on display, Keo began streaming on Twitch. While building a community of thousands of followers, Keo had a chance encounter with the great William “Blitz” Lee. Blitz invited Keo to join his friends in a match, as Keo frequently invited her viewers to do, and the rest is history. Keo used her hard-earned Twitch funds to fly her way to and from TI3; an event that would shape her future in so many ways.
