What’s been happening over the last 2 years?
Paradigm Shift Capital is India’s first truly Global VC fund. Our investment thesis of exclusively backing Founders building Products for the World 🌎 is niche and unique! This thesis was carefully crafted because all 3 Partners have extensive experience across the India-US startup ecosystem — we’ve run our own startups and worked directly with Founders at InMobi, Segment, WeWork. We truly understand what building a Global Startup means.
We’ve made 20 investments! 🚀 We’re well on course to hit our plan 🎯 of backing 30 startups by the end of 2023.
We’ve backed a fantastic set of startups ranging from Augmented Reality to Quantum computing to Real time Machine Learning! Our primary thesis is to back exceptional technical teams, building from India for the world! 🇮🇳🚀🌎
All our startups are B2B, which are built to play the longer game, keeping a sustainable growth model in mind and not rely only on capital driven high-burn growth tactics. We broadly focus on B2B SaaS, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Infrastructure, Augmented Reality, and Deep Tech (including Clean Tech).
We’ve seen tremendous progress across the portfolio, most of our initial investments have also raised follow-on rounds of financing from top Global VC funds like Draper Associates, Uncorrelated VC, Y-Combinator among others! 💰

Being Operators and Entrepreneurs, we envisioned being a true value-adding fund that the best kind of Founders want to partner with, and it’s exciting to see this vision come to life! We love partnering with exceptional Founders. Most of our Founders are our biggest advocates, and even those we turn down go on to recommend us to their network — now that’s really saying something.

We’re one hell of a team — Being the Youngest Woman GP in India, I (Surabhi) was recognised as one of India’s Top 100 emerging women leaders. Govind is the only GP in the country to have built 2 profitable unicorns, and Dhruv has been a 2X entrepreneur and awarded the ‘Alien of Extraordinary Ability’ Green Card.
We truly understand the 0 to 1 and 1 to 100 phase of startup building, and work hand in hand with our Founders to create Global startups from India!
Between the 3 partners in the Fund, we’ve built and successfully run 3 Unicorns. We’re a team of Founders and Operators who have extensive experience scaling high growth unicorns grounds-up across the Globe. We’ve run startups from Day 0, raised Millions of $$$ in VC Money, seen Billion $$$ exits, hired entire Leadership and Core teams, ran accelerators and built a truly Global Network. A unique feat in the Indian VC ecosystem.
Why do we do what we do?

Dhruv has lived and worked across 3 continents and has been a 2X Entrepreneur, he spoke at LSE’s Global alumni event in Dubai and was invited by NYU to give a talk on how we’re building India’s first Global VC Fund.

Tim Draper (Founder, Draper Associates, early investor in Tesla, SpaceX, Robinhood, Baidu) visited Bangalore in January, we’ve known him for over 7 years now and have now co-invested in 2 companies with Draper Associates — Landeed and Rise. We were celebrating these co-investments and also sharing updates with him — he’s been a pioneer of global venture capital and was glad to hear all our progress while building out India’s FIrst Truly Global VC Fund! 🇮🇳🚀🌎
