Youth Make Rap about Urban Farming and Urban Food Systems

A creative and effective way to spread awareness on local food systems and why they are needed. These youth did an amazing job with this song about urban gardens and why they are important. They are helping make urban gardens and local food systems a little “cooler” and easier for our youth to connect with. I hope to see more efforts like this in the future,

“See in my hood there ain’t really much to eat. Popeyes on the corner, McDonald’s right across the street. All this talk about guns and the drugs, pretty serious, but look at what they feeding ya’ll that’s what’s really killin us.”

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
